Hello! My name is Jodi. I am a Licensed Social Worker. I work with children, adolescents, teens, and adults. I believe that each of us has not only the desire, but the ability to make positive changes in our lives. I strive to provide a welcoming and safe therapeutic atmosphere that allows you to recognize the strengths you possess and how to utilize them most effectively for growth. I see clients of all ages with a variety of needs but specialize in treatment for generalized anxiety, social anxiety, depression, and those who are experiencing the physical and emotional effects of trauma.
I use a person-centered approach, believing that you are in the driver’s seat when it comes to making decisions about your life, while I am here to support and to help you recognize ways forward. I incorporate tools such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy and encourage mindfulness and other grounding techniques.
I decided to become a therapist after having experienced the positive effects of having a genuine, empathetic therapist help guide me through my own struggles. I believe that therapy can be a truly healing process and I would like to be on that journey with you.
My self-care activities include being out in nature hiking with my family, biking, kayaking, reading, and yoga. I am an animal lover and enjoy time with my two dogs and cat.
