My name is Rachel Meiri and I am currently working towards my Marriage and Family Therapy degree. I work with children, teens, adolescents, and adults through individual, family, and marriage therapy. I specialize in working with relational issues, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Being a teenager and becoming a parent are some of the hardest times and transitions that I have personally experienced in life. I would not have survived either season without the help of others. As a professional, I am passionate about giving my time to both teenagers and parents, as well as the family system as a whole. I support my clients in processing their emotions in whatever way feels comfortable for them whether that be crying, laughing, and or trying to make sense of things. I understand that there can be complex emotions and situations that present within families. There are so many challenging stages to process through: school and career choices, birth and postpartum, potty training, interpersonal relationships, loss, etc. Let’s process these challenges together.
I enjoy the existential perspective that Viktor Frankl’s logotherapy offers, combined with the practicality of Solution-Focused therapy. I also see value in couples and families attending therapy together to learn how to function as a team and feel more connected to each other.
When I am not helping others work towards their goals. I enjoy spending time with family, reading classic English literature, watching international football, and trying to get back into long distance running.
