Angelica Tron, Intern
Hi, I'm Angelica. My counseling approach is eclectic, blending modalities like ACT, CBT, art therapy, narrative therapy, and compassion-focused strategies to meet each client's unique needs. I believe in the transformative power of creativity and self-expression, often incorporating art therapy to help clients process emotions and explore their identities. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults, empowering them to overcome challenges related to chronic illness, anxiety, and cultural identity.
I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus on Neuroscience. Growing up in a single-parent, low-income Latino household deeply shaped my commitment to cultural sensitivity and advocacy. Having navigated chronic illness and the stigma surrounding mental health within my own community, I draw on both personal and professional experiences to create a therapeutic environment that fosters understanding, resilience, and growth.
With a strong emphasis on advocacy, I strive to help clients cultivate self-awareness and self-compassion, equipping them with tools to navigate life transitions and interpersonal struggles. At the core of my work is creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and empowered. Whether I’m supporting teens in building emotional regulation or helping adults manage complex family dynamics, my goal is to help clients uncover their strengths and build meaningful, fulfilling lives.
I am particularly passionate about guiding individuals through the intersection of chronic illness and mental health, helping them embrace self-acceptance and holistic wellness. As I continue to grow as a clinician, I remain dedicated to fostering meaningful connections and inspiring clients to grow into their best selves.
