Hello! My name is Katrina Gelazius. I treat individuals, families, and couples. I primarily work with adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma/PTSD, and abuse recovery. While I specialize in these areas, I also treat a variety of issues, which you can read more about HERE.
I understand that finding a therapist can feeling overwhelming and it is a task that requires a lot of courage. Sometimes it can feel like there are too many options, making it difficult to make the final decision. One thing that I believe sets me apart from other therapists is my ability to connect with my clients in a genuine way. I have many interests and hobbies and this is just one of the things that allows me to connect to others.
Throughout my years as a therapist, I cannot tell you how many times I have had clients tell me that their previous therapist was not the right fit. I am a firm believer in the fact that therapy is the most effective when clients can say “my therapist is the best fit for me”. From my own personal experience, I know what that feels like. I will do my best to attend to your individual needs and make you feel comfortable in sessions. You will be in control and you will decide the pace at which you want to proceed. No one knows yourself better than you, so I try to incorporate this into the therapeutic process as much as I can.

Why do I share this with you? Because this encompasses my philosophy on life and as a therapist. I have a deep passion for helping others and my goal is to make you feel safe and heard as you sit with me in the room. Being a therapist is not just a job-it is something that I truly enjoy and choose to do every day. My hope is for you to feel comfortable, accepted, and empowered. I am confident that if you choose me as your therapist, you will be able to leave our sessions feeling this way.
My goal is to help you become the best version of yourself and increase your awareness. You know what you want from life but you may not know exactly how to get there. That is where I can help. Together, we can identify anything that is currently causing you distress, create goals, and work towards these goals together.
