Victoria Murray, Intern
Hello! My name is Victoria. I primarily work with children and young adults, but I am open to clients of all ages. I specialize in anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, and grief. As someone who tried for many years to find a mental health aid, I understand how difficult taking the first steps of bettering your mental health can be. I have a passion for mental health and I want to guide you in your healing and transformation process.
I am currently pursuing a Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. I pride myself in my reliability, compassion, and empathy for people from all walks of life. It is important to me that you feel safe and comfortable in therapy with me, which is why I like to approach counseling in a slow and steady manner. I enjoy the process of getting to know you as an individual and understanding your family and cultural background. I want to work alongside you and create a treatment plan that fits your needs.
Therapy is a way for all people to have a better understanding of themselves. As Matt Haig would say, “Mental health problems don’t define who you are. They are something you experience. You walk in the rain, and you feel the rain, but you are not the rain”.
