Therese Clucas, Intern
Hello, I'm Therese! I specialize in helping individuals navigate anxiety, relationship challenges, and substance abuse. With a focus on adolescents and adults, I am dedicated to providing a supportive and accepting space for everyone. Currently, I am pursuing my Master's in Counseling at Northwestern University, and I am committed to lifelong learning and growth.
In my practice, I embrace an Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Adlerian approach, ensuring that each person feels seen and valued. Additionally, I incorporate Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) tools to enhance communication and emotional regulation, tailored to your unique goals.
I believe in meeting you where you are—whether through laughter, tears, or silence—and supporting you with what you need in each moment. Your story matters deeply, and it will be honored and respected in our work together.
As Elisabeth Kübler-Ross beautifully said, "People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within." I am inspired by the intrinsic beauty within every individual's heart, and I am here to walk with you on your journey of self-discovery and healing.
Let's embark on this journey together. Your path to healing and growth starts here.
