Erica Bernal, Intern
Hello! My name is Erica, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals and couples through life’s most challenging moments. As an intern therapist at Feel Good Counseling Center, I specialize in working with grief and loss, trauma, domestic violence, PTSD, work-life balance, relationships, anxiety, and ADD/ADHD.
I am currently in my second year of the Master’s Program in Clinical Mental Health at Lewis University, where I also earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology. With a background in criminal justice and forensics, along with 13+ years of experience in a law firm, I bring a unique perspective and depth to my work with clients. My recent experience in private practice has provided opportunities to work with clients managing anxiety, relationship issues, work-life balance, and loss.
My journey into counseling began with my desire to better understand my own family’s experiences with mental health. As a mother of five, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges that ADHD and anxiety can bring, as well as the life-changing impact of loss. My goal is to be a supportive presence for others, offering a safe space to navigate difficult experiences and grow toward healing. My favorite quote, "Don't let yesterday take up too much of today" by Will Rogers, is a reminder to keep moving forward with hope.
If you’re seeking someone who can empathize with life’s complexities and help you build resilience, I’m here for you.
